Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.International Sustainability Challenge focusses to bring in sustainable development in the sectors of Renewable energy and Rural economy. It aims to unleash the potential of technology for the world's poor through the power of innovation.
Teams will be required to submit one report on or before 19th September, 2017 to [email protected] This report should contain the idea they are looking forward to work on. Submission is to be done by ALL the participants.

Submission Format :
The project report should be emailed to [email protected] with the subject Ideate: Sustainability Team Id (For example Ideate: Sustainability XYZ1234).Teams must follow the following details for the submission:
1. The abstract must be submitted in pdf format only
2. Font: Arial
3. Size: 11
4. Spacing between two lines: 6 pts
5. Spacing between two paragraphs: 10 pts
6. Bottom margin: 1 inch
Prototype and Final Presentation:
After declaration of the finalists, participants are required to improve upon the prototype/ working model of their project. They will also have to make a presentation covering the technical and financial aspects of their product in a detailed manner. This final presentation and the video will have to be submitted at [email protected] before 15th December 2017. The shortlisted teams can however, continue to work on their prototypes till 28th December, 2017. The teams will have to bring their prototypes to be judged and showcased at Techfest 2017-18 during 29th to 31st December, 2017. The working prototype should be as close as possible to the product that the team intends to present to the end user. This would also help in deciding a better estimate of the cost of the prototype, reflecting closely the actual cost of the product.

Any individual with a valid ID card can participate in the competition.

3. How many persons can be there in one team?
Maximum 4 members can be there in a team.
4. Can I register in more than one ideate competition?
Yes, you can participate in more than one Ideate competitions. But it is recommended to focus on one ideate competition as there are some chances of slot clash.
5. Is there any mentor panel?
Yes, there is a mentor panel who will help you to clear your doubts.
6. What is the criteria for getting accommodation?
Teams who has cleared Round 2 of the Ideate competition are eligible for getting accommodation but it is on first come first serve basis.
