Techfest, IIT Bombay is the annual science and technology festival of the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. Started in 1998 with the aim of providing a platform for the Indian student community to develop and showcase their technical prowess, we have now grown into Asia's Largest Science and Technology Festival: a grand three-day event on the campus of IIT Bombay attracting people from all walks of life including students, academics, professionals and the general public.
Year after year, Techfest explores the various aspects of science and technology and the profound impacts they have on our lives. For the last 22 years, Techfest has constantly grown, evolved, and pushed the boundaries of what a college fest can be. With something to offer for everyone, Techfest is the ideal destination for all technophiles: young or old, beginner or expert, student or professional to witness, learn and experience the wonders of science and technology.
This year marks the 23rd Edition of Techfest, IIT Bombay. The fest shall take place from 3rd to 5th of January, 2020 at the beautiful, green campus of IIT Bombay in Mumbai, India. Boasting of a huge roster of exciting and engaging events, this edition of Techfest promises to be grander, greater and more glorious than ever before.

Welcome to Techfest 2019-2020: Da Vincian Spectacle!
Techfest is among the very few student organizations to have received patronage from United Nations organisations. Among its various recognitions, prominent ones are listed below:
Techfest has also been nominated for the Times of India Social Impact Award 2015 for its unique social campaigns in the field of child education, women empowerment, encouraging Indo-Pak relations and creating awareness.
Through its social initiative: The Student Solar Ambassador Program, last year Techfest in association with SoULS, IIT Bombay also achieved a Guinness World Record for most number of LEDs lit simultaneously.
The very first edition of Techfest was in 1998. The underlying spirit of Techfest was "to promote technology, scientific thinking and innovation" a motto that has been followed by every Techfest since. Techfest 1998 also set the broad outlines of Techfest in the form of competitions, lectures, workshops, and exhibitions which went on to become a standard feature at every Techfest. Entrepreneurship also made an appearance in the 1999 and 2000 editions. Technoholix—Techfest in the Dark, showcasing technological entertainment at the end of each day as well as the hub of on the spot activities, made their debut during these years.
