Industrial Visit
1.1 Introduction
'e-waste' is the electronic equipments/products connects with power plug, batteries which have become obsolete due to advancement in technology, changes in fashion, style and status, nearing the end of their useful life. e-waste constitutes a major part of the waste in the rapidly progressing world of today. What no one knows is that e-waste can be recycled and reused. Even your oldest cellphone, your ancient floppies, PC hardware, Television set, printers, sensors everything can be processed and recycled for reuse. Put aptly by an environmentalist, "Recycling just seems like the right thing to do, I mean really, it makes us responsible for the messes that we make. It's all about just picking up after yourself, not shoving our trash in our oceans and streams. We might as well reuse it before we lose it." - Ed Begley Jr
Techfest provides you an opportunity to visit an e-waste recycling company and get a hands-on on the whole process of recycling and insights about its impact on the future.
