Artificial Intelligence
1.1 Introduction
Since John McCarthy coined the term Artificial Intelligence in 1956, it has permeated in human consciousness through various mediums such as myth, fiction and philosophy.
Of the many dreams of humanity, the one to create a replica of its own intelligence into that of its creation, has stood the test of time. Today the field has grown into a interdisciplinary branch of science infusing the best of our knowledge to achieve our final goal. Subfields have grown up around particular institutions, the work of individual researchers, the solution of specific problems, longstanding differences of opinion about how AI should be done and the application of widely differing tools.
This year Techfest gives you a unique chance to explore the world of Artificial Intelligence and apply it practically to robotics and watch them perform seemingly mundane tasks autonomously.
