1. Problem Statement
The challenge is to solve as many challenges as possible from a given set of networking challenges like hacking in to computers or WebPages etc, in the stipulated amount of time. Networking is concerned with the communication between various devices.
The concepts that would be tested:
1.Understanding and implementation of the concepts of communication between devices.
2.Various standards and the issues connected with their use.
3.At the endpoints from security point of view, including web-based applications, local network connections etc.

2.1 Elimination Rounds
- There will be two online elimination rounds for COnNECT.
- In the Elimination rounds the participants will be tested on the basis of their basic skills in the Computer Networking.
- The round will be of a fixed duration and any team submitting the solutions after the stipulated time will not be considered.
- A total of four teams will be selected through these elimination rounds.
- The top 4 teams in these elimination rounds will directly qualify for the COnNECT competition at Techfest 2009.
- The top 6 teams performing consistently in the elimination rounds of all the three competitions i.e. COnNECT, InVERT and nBRAIN will qualify directly to all the three competitions under CodeWars. Even if these teams do not feature in the top four of COnNECT, they would still be eligible to take part in COnNECT and the other two competitions.
- For performing the tasks, teams are expected to work without any external help. Any teams violating this rule will be disqualified.

3.1 General Rules
- The teams must adhere to the spirit of HEALTHY COMPETITION. Judges reserve the right to disqualify any team found indulging in misbehavior.
- Judges' decision shall be final and binding on all.
- The organizers reserve the rights to change any or all of the above rules as they deem fit. Change in rules, if any will be highlighted on the website and notified to the registered participants.
3.2 Team Specifications
A team may consist of a maximum of 3 members. Participants are advised to form teams before registration, since the competition is essentially a team event.
3.3 Eligibility
All students with a valid identity card of their respective educational institutes are eligible to participate in CoNnect at Techfest 2009.
3.4 Certificate Policy
- Certificate of Excellence will be given to all the winners. The top two teams in CoNnect will be considered the winners.
- Certificates of Participation will be given to all the teams that are able to clear the elimination round at Techfest 2009.
